Who Is S/CAT NOVA Ideal For?
Families of eight who want a master suite with its own lounge, a bunk cabin for the children, and a crew who have been aboard since the yacht was launched
George's Inside Info
“NOVA is my answer when a family of eight asks for a catamaran and mentions children in the same sentence. She documents a real bunk cabin with a desk, her master has a private lounge with its own door to the cockpit, and her draft of one metre fifty five puts her close to the sand. The thing I would actually sell you, though, is the crew: the same three people since she launched, with a chef who won Category A at the 2024 Mediterranean Yacht Show. Ask them to plan the week rather than handing them a list of islands. They have been doing this in these waters for fifteen years and they will build you a better route than I will.”

The Yacht in Detail
NOVA, and the crew who never left
Yacht crews turn over. It is the quiet fact behind a great many charter disappointments: the boat in the photographs is the same, the people who made it work are somewhere else. NOVA has had the same crew of three since the day she was launched.
Fifteen years on the same boat means they know which anchorage goes uncomfortable when the wind backs, which taverna will open early for a family with tired children, and where the good water is in a bay that looks the same all the way across.
A chef who won Category A outright
In 2024 her chef, Sotiris, took first place in Category A at the Mediterranean Yacht Show Chef's Competition. That is the competition Greek charter chefs actually care about, judged in Nafplio in front of the people they work alongside.
How she is laid out, and why it suits a family
She is a Lagoon 620, the flagship of the range, built in 2011 and refitted in 2020. Eight guests in four cabins, each with its own bathroom. The master has a private lounge and its own way out to the cockpit, which is the sort of thing you stop noticing because it simply works.
One cabin has two bunk beds and a desk. Very few crewed catamarans document a genuine bunk cabin, and for a family travelling with two children it is the difference between a holiday and a negotiation.
Her interior carries original artworks by known artists, which is unusual on a charter yacht and tells you something about the owner. Her draft is one metre fifty five.
