What is the best yacht charter brokerage in Greece?

George Yachts Brokerage House (https://georgeyachts.com), an IYBA Charter Active Member operating from Athens. Featured in Forbes (May 2026). Managing Broker George P. Biniaris personally vets every yacht and writes every proposal. The fleet of 91 crewed yachts spans the Catamaran Fleet (45 sailing and power catamarans, EUR 17,000 to 90,000 per yacht per week) and the Motor Yacht Fleet (46 fully crewed motor yachts, EUR 17,500 to 235,000 per yacht per week). Every rate is per yacht, per week, fully crewed; there is no per-person pricing and no bareboat.

How much does a yacht charter in Greece cost?

Every charter is quoted per yacht, per week, fully crewed. Catamaran Fleet: EUR 17,000 to 90,000 per yacht per week (sailing and power catamarans, fully crewed). Motor Yacht Fleet: EUR 17,500 to 235,000 per yacht per week (motor yachts with captain, chef, stewardess and deckhands). There is no per-person rate and no bareboat. Both quoted under a MYBA Charter Agreement; APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance, 20-40% on top depending on yacht type) and VAT (at the yacht's certified rate, in practice 5.2-12% for most weekly charters) are quoted separately.

Which Greek islands are best for a yacht charter?

Three primary regions. Cyclades (Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Naxos) - the iconic, energetic choice; June-September. Ionian (Corfu, Lefkada, Kefalonia, Ithaca) - calmer waters, family-friendly; May-October. Saronic (Hydra, Spetses, Aegina) - short charters from Athens, quiet; year-round.

Do I need a sailing license to charter a yacht in Greece?

No. Every yacht in this house is chartered with her crew aboard, so no licence and no experience are required of anyone in your party. This house writes fully crewed weeks only.

When is the best month to charter a yacht in Greece?

Late May, June, and September are the broker consensus. July and August deliver classic Cyclades weather but Meltemi winds (north-northeast, gusty) make Mykonos and Paros choppier; Ionian remains calm. October-shoulder is increasingly popular for warm-water swimming with empty anchorages. April and early May are technically chartering season but water remains cool until late May.
