The yacht specs

8 specs that match the brief

  1. The milestone week: fifty metres, nine crew for twelve guests, and the service ratio that a superyacht buys. The top of the Greek Charter Index band above 50 metres.

  2. Six cabins and ten crew for twelve guests, the highest crew-to-guest ratio on this list, at a rate below the 50 metre band.

  3. Six cabins at 38 metres: six couples, or a family that wants nobody sharing.

  4. Five cabins and eight crew at 39 metres, the balanced 35 to 40 metre spec the Index band is built around.

  5. Six cabins under 36 metres: the twelve-guest week with a cabin each for six couples, at the lower end of the band.

  6. The only catamaran on the list that takes the full twelve: six cabins on two hulls, no roll at anchor, and a draft that reaches the beach.

  7. Thirty-four metres and twelve berths at a rate most people expect to pay for eight.

  8. The value line for twelve guests: six cabins and seven crew on 31 metres, from EUR 45,000 a week.

Frequently asked

About this charter type

Why not a bigger yacht for 12 guests?

You can. Above 50 metres the Index lists EUR 162,500 to 235,000 a week net base, LA PELLEGRINA 1 at EUR 180,000 to 235,000 on her own card, and what the size buys is service ratio, nine or ten crew, a beach club, sometimes a helipad, never a thirteenth guest. Worth it for a milestone week; not needed for a good one.

How much does a yacht for 12 guests cost in Greece?

Per yacht per week before VAT and APA, from each yacht's own rate card: SUMMER FUN EUR 45,000 to 65,000, PROJECT STEEL EUR 55,000 to 67,000, ChristAl MiO 80 EUR 70,000 to 90,000, CAN'T REMEMBER EUR 80,000 to 90,000, PAREAKI II EUR 98,000 to 115,000, KOKOMO NIGHTS EUR 120,000 to 140,000, LA PELLEGRINA 1 EUR 180,000 to 235,000. Add VAT at 5.2 to 12% by certification, APA of 30 to 40% on a motor yacht or 20 to 30% on the catamaran, and a customary 10 to 15% crew gratuity on the base. One price per yacht per week; the group shares it however it likes.

Can I add day guests for events?

Sometimes, and only within the yacht's licence. Twelve is the number most charter yachts are licensed to carry; guests beyond that for a lunch at anchor or a dinner alongside depend on the yacht's own certificate, the captain's consent and the port authority, and we confirm it yacht by yacht before anything is promised. For a wedding or a milestone dinner with many more guests, the answer is usually a second yacht or a shore venue with the yacht as the host's base.

What if my group is 14 to 16?

Two yachts sailing together: parallel anchorages, alternating dinner host, one shared itinerary. Each yacht is priced from its own rate card, one price per yacht per week, so the cost is two of the figures above side by side, and the group gets more deck, more crew and two galleys. Common for weddings and milestone events.

Five cabins or six for twelve guests?

Five cabins sleep twelve with two guests in every cabin, usually a master, a VIP and three doubles or twins, which suits three or four families. Six cabins give six couples a cabin each, or let a family split children from parents: SUMMER FUN, CAN'T REMEMBER, KINTARO, KOKOMO NIGHTS and ChristAl MiO 80 have six. Ask for the deck plan before you choose; the sixth cabin is often the smallest.

Motor yacht or catamaran for a group of twelve?

The motor yacht for speed between islands, interior volume and a crew of seven to ten; the catamaran for zero roll at anchor, a level deck the width of the boat, a shallow draft and a lower APA. ChristAl MiO 80 is the only catamaran we represent that takes the full twelve, at EUR 70,000 to 90,000 a week; the motor yachts start at EUR 45,000 on SUMMER FUN. A group that wants the Cyclades in August is better on 35 metres and more, because the Meltemi favours larger, faster hulls.

Where should a group of twelve go?

The Cyclades on a 35 metre and larger motor yacht: Mykonos, Paros, Milos, with the afternoon Meltemi carried comfortably and the passages planned for the mornings. The Saronic on any of these yachts for the five-night week from Alimos, Aegina 18 miles, Poros, Hydra, Spetses, which is the programme that can embark within days. The Ionian on the catamaran for a family group that wants calm water and sandy bays.

How far ahead should a large group book?

Six to twelve months for July and August on the Greek Charter Index, and earlier than a smaller party would, because the six-cabin hulls are few. On this desk, 11 of the 68 enquiries logged between 30 May and 6 September 2026 were for ten or more guests, and 26 of the 57 dated enquiries were already for 2027. If your dates are fixed, treat an available twelve-guest yacht as a same-week decision.
