Your Broker in Greek Waters

One point of contact.
One standard of care.No call centres. No middlemen.

George Yachts Brokerage House is a boutique American brokerage, headquartered in Wyoming, USA, and operated from Athens, with an office in Kifisia and boots on the ground in Greek waters all season long. Small on purpose: few clients, whole attention, excellence as the only acceptable standard.

White glove, to us, is not a slogan; it is a calendar. We are there long before you step aboard, shaping the week around the people you love. We are on the quay at your check-in. We are a message away every day you are on the water. And we are still here after your check-out, because by then you are no longer a booking, you are a relationship.

Our clients describe it simply: our guy in Greece. A team that came from the water and from five-star floors, a fleet where every yacht has been personally vetted, and every request answered by the Managing Broker himself, through the full MYBA charter cycle, from the first proposal to the captain's briefing.

Above all we are guided by one Greek word that does not translate, filotimo: the quiet duty to treat every guest with honour, to give more than was asked, and to do right by them, always.

Managing Broker

George P. Biniaris

Managing Broker · IYBA Member

His connection to these waters is not professional first, it is ancestral. His mother is from Syros, the administrative heart of the Cyclades, and he grew up crossing the Aegean on his uncle's Ferretti, Athens to Syros to Mykonos, to wherever the islands called.

Years on the water as a licensed skipper: seasons out of Corfu, and charter operations across the Ionian, the Cyclades and the Saronic. When he recommends an anchorage, it is because he has held a wheel there.

Before yachting, a decade at the top of Mykonos hospitality, directing operations for a five-star hotel, a fine-dining restaurant and one of the island's great beach clubs, leading teams of over two hundred for an international, high-profile clientele.

“My clients don't just charter a yacht. They gain a trusted advisor who knows every captain, every cove, and every sunset worth seeing in Greece.”

A   N O T E   F R O M   G E O R G E

I grew up on my uncle's Ferretti, crossing from Athens to Syros, to Mykonos, to wherever the Cyclades took us. My mother is from Syros - the sea was never a hobby. It was home.

I studied shipping. I became a skipper in Corfu. I earned my motor yacht licence. I managed charters across the Ionian and the Cyclades - briefing captains, building itineraries, solving problems at midnight.

I built George Yachts because I wanted to do this properly. Not as another name on a platform. Not as a cold transaction. But as someone who knows these waters first-hand, who has untangled an anchor under pressure in Paxos, and who has watched a family of twelve cry at disembarkation - not because something went wrong, but because they didn't want it to end.

That moment - when your clients hold you and tell you this was unlike anything they've ever experienced - that is why I do this.

Greece is not one destination. It is hundreds. And if you have the right person guiding you, every voyage reveals something new. I am that person.

What people ask before they call

Who is George P. Biniaris?

The founder and Managing Broker of George Yachts Brokerage House LLC. He comes from a Cycladic family from Syros and grew up crossing the Aegean. He holds a sailing skipper's licence from the Olympiacos SFP Sailing Academy and a powerboat licence valid to 25 metres, has run charter seasons out of Corfu and operations across the Ionian, the Cyclades and the Saronic. Before broking he spent a decade in luxury hospitality, in Group Operations for the Interni Group in Mykonos across a five-star hotel and a beach club, and as founder of two venues in Kifisia. He served as a commissioned Reserve Infantry Officer and later as a Company Commander in the National Guard. He answers his own enquiries.

Which broker should I use for a yacht charter in Greece?

Use the one who passes your checks rather than the one who advertises hardest, and apply the same test to us. Ours: George Yachts Brokerage House LLC is a Wyoming company operating out of Athens, so the entity on your contract sits in a US register you can search from your desk while the operation runs where the yachts and crews actually are. IYBA Charter Active Member, listed publicly in their directory. Every charter written on a MYBA-standard contract, with base fee, APA, the yacht's certified Greek VAT rate and the crew gratuity range set out before you sign. Forbes coverage in May 2026. We are boutique and we were founded in 2026, so if scale or decades are your filter, say so early and we will tell you honestly whether we fit.

What makes a boutique brokerage different from a large agency?

Two things, and only two. First, the same named person handles you from the first message to disembarkation, so nothing is re-explained to a coordinator who has never spoken to you. Second, there is no hull here we are under pressure to fill, which means the boat proposed is the one that fits your dates, your group and your budget. The trade is real and worth stating: a large agency has more people and a longer history. We have neither. What we have is one broker who has been aboard.

What does white glove service actually mean here?

It means the standard was set somewhere it could be measured. A decade running a five-star hotel and a beach club in Mykonos is where you learn what a chef can genuinely deliver from a galley at anchor, how many covers a service crew can hold before the week starts slipping, and what a guest notices without ever mentioning it. Practically it shows up as crew matched to your group rather than to the yacht's brochure, preferences taken once and passed to the crew before you board, and a broker reachable through the week rather than only before the deposit.

Where is George Yachts based?

The legal entity is George Yachts Brokerage House LLC, a Wyoming company. The working base is Athens, at Charilaou Trikoupi 190A in Kifisia, because that is where the Greek charter fleet, the central agents and the crews are. Charters run in Greek waters only: the Cyclades, the Ionian, the Saronic, the Dodecanese and the Sporades.

Does George Yachts own the yachts it charters?

No, and that is the point. There is nothing we gain by steering you to one hull over another. We work across the Greek fleet, currently 63 yachts placed personally: 21 motor yachts, 15 power catamarans and 27 sailing catamarans, and if the right boat for your week is not among them we will tell you and go and find it.
