How Much Does It Cost to Charter a Yacht in Athens?
Athens is where the crewed fleet lives, at Alimos and Flisvos, which makes it the cheapest place in Greece to board and the one with the most choice.

Why Athens is the cheapest place to board
Best suited for
- A first charter in the Saronic, three hours from the airport to the first swim
- Families with young children who want calm water and short legs
- Americans landing in Athens who want to board the same afternoon
- A party that wants the Cyclades without paying a delivery to get there
When the Athens weeks go for 2027
The Saronic runs from May to October; the entry catamarans and the 20 to 25 metre motor yachts are the most requested yachts on the list and their July and August weeks go first. Peak weeks for July and August 2027 are being contracted now, in the autumn of 2026; the five and six cabin yachts go first. Nine to fourteen months ahead for a peak week, six to nine for June and late September, three to four for May and October. Booking early buys first choice of yacht and week rather than a discount.
George's insider notes
- Board at Alimos in the afternoon and sleep at Aegina; the first swim is before dinner.
- A Saronic week spends the low end of the APA; a Cyclades week from Athens the high end; the same yacht, a different number, and the broker should show both.
- Flisvos is the marina for the motor yachts over 30 metres and the quieter boarding.
- The five-night Saronic week exists for parties with a Sunday flight; it is priced pro rata on the same yacht.
