The week, priced

How Much Is a 7 Day Yacht Charter in Greece?

One yacht, one week, one crew. What that costs on the rate cards this house holds, from about EUR 22,000 a week all in, with the APA and the VAT included and the crew gratuity at your discretion.

What the week is made of

The base fee buys the yacht, her crew and her insurance for seven nights. It attaches to the vessel, not to the cruising ground: the same yacht quotes the same card whether she sails the Saronic or the Cyclades. The APA is the running budget of the week, paid in advance and settled against receipts: fuel, food, drink, berths and port fees. It runs 20 to 30 percent of the base on a sailing yacht, 25 to 35 on a catamaran, 30 to 40 on a motor yacht, because the number tracks fuel burn. What is not spent comes back. The VAT applies at the yacht's own certified rate, 5.2, 6.5, 7.8 or 12 percent on the current cards, with 13 percent as the statutory ceiling; the rate belongs to the yacht and is written on the proposal next to her name. The gratuity is customary at 10 to 15 percent of the base, at your discretion. Put together, a crewed catamaran week is about 1.4 to 1.6 times its base all in, a motor yacht week 1.45 to 1.7; the smallest crewed week on the list is from about EUR 22,000 a week all in, with the APA and the VAT included and the crew gratuity at your discretion. Who you are dealing with. George Yachts Brokerage House LLC is a United States company, registered in Wyoming, with its brokerage desk in Athens, a few minutes from the marinas the yachts leave from. It is a boutique house: one broker, George P. Biniaris, Founder and Managing Broker, a licensed sailing skipper with a powerboat licence valid to 25 metres, handles every file himself, from the first message to the quay on check-in day, and is reachable on WhatsApp at +1 786 798 8798. The house is listed as an IYBA Charter Active Member, writes every charter on the MYBA form of agreement, was featured in Forbes in May 2026, and holds a 5.0 rating on Google. The APA, the VAT at each yacht's certified rate and the gratuity are set out line by line in every proposal, so nothing arrives as a surprise.

When to contract a 2027 week

Peak weeks for July and August 2027 are being contracted now, in the autumn of 2026; the five and six cabin yachts go first. Nine to fourteen months ahead for a peak week, six to nine for June and late September, three to four for May and October. Booking early buys first choice of yacht and week rather than a discount.

George's insider notes

  • Ask for the all-in week, not the base. A broker who cannot write the APA, the VAT rate and the gratuity next to the base fee has not read the rate card.
  • A week that anchors most nights spends far less of the APA than a week of marinas; the balance comes back to you at the end.
  • The gratuity is calculated on the base fee alone, not on the all-in figure.
  • There is no Saturday rule in Greece; a Wednesday-to-Wednesday week often costs the same and books the better flights.

Frequently asked

Questions we get about How Much Is a 7 Day Yacht Charter in Greece?

How much is a 7 day yacht charter in Greece?

From EUR 17,000 a week net base for a crewed 15 metre catamaran and EUR 17,500 for a crewed 20 metre motor yacht, rising to EUR 235,000 for the largest yacht on the list; from about EUR 22,000 a week all in, with the APA and the VAT included and the crew gratuity at your discretion for the smallest crewed week.

Is the price charged by the number of guests?

No. Every crewed charter in Greece is one price per yacht per week with the crew included, whether two guests board or twelve. A quote priced by the head is a cabin charter or a day trip, a different product.

What is included in the base fee?

The yacht, her crew and her insurance for the week. Fuel, food, drink and berths are paid through the APA at cost; VAT and the gratuity are separate and shown separately.

How much is the APA on a 7 day charter?

20 to 30 percent of the base on a sailing yacht, 25 to 35 on a catamaran, 30 to 40 on a motor yacht, on the yachts this house represents. It is settled against receipts and the unspent balance is returned.

Can a 7 day charter start on any day?

Yes. Embarkation is on any day of the week you choose; there is no Saturday-to-Saturday rule in Greece.

How do I get a quote for a specific week?

Send the dates, the party and the islands you have in mind to George P. Biniaris, WhatsApp +1 786 798 8798 or george@georgeyachts.com; a written proposal with two or three real yachts and the all-in week reaches you within twenty-four hours.
