Superyacht Charter Greece in July

The first of the two peak months: long days, warm water, the Meltemi beginning, and every 35 metre yacht on the list spoken for a year ahead.

What July is, on a superyacht in Greece

The month the yachts are built for. Fourteen hours of light, water warm enough for the children at seven in the morning, every taverna open, every anchorage alive. July is the first peak month and on every rate card it is priced as one; the yachts that sleep twelve in six cabins are contracted for it a year ahead, and a party that decides in spring is choosing from what is left. The Meltemi is the July fact. From mid-month the northerly blows across the Cyclades on its days at force 5 to 7, which on a 40 metre yacht with stabilisers is a lively crossing rather than a problem, but it shapes the week: Mykonos and Paros early in the month, or a loop that keeps the island in the lee, or the Ionian, where July is a warm breeze and the water is glass. The captains who know Greece plan July around it; the brokers who know the captains tell you which yacht's captain does. What a July proposal from this house contains. The base at the July rate, the yacht's certified VAT rate, an APA estimate for the route you described with July's berth prices in it, the gratuity range, and two or three real yachts whose July calendars have been confirmed with the owners, in writing, within twenty-four hours. Who you are dealing with. George Yachts Brokerage House LLC is a United States company, registered in Wyoming, with its brokerage desk in Athens, a few minutes from the marinas the yachts leave from. It is a boutique house: one broker, George P. Biniaris, Founder and Managing Broker, a licensed sailing skipper with a powerboat licence valid to 25 metres, handles every file himself, from the first message to the quay on check-in day, and is reachable on WhatsApp at +1 786 798 8798. The house is listed as an IYBA Charter Active Member, writes every charter on the MYBA form of agreement, was featured in Forbes in May 2026, and holds a 5.0 rating on Google. The APA, the VAT at each yacht's certified rate and the gratuity are set out line by line in every proposal, so nothing arrives as a surprise.

When July goes

July 2027 on the six-cabin yachts is being contracted in the autumn of 2026; the first two weeks go before the last two, and the yachts with the best-known crews go first. Peak weeks for July and August 2027 are being contracted now, in the autumn of 2026; the five and six cabin yachts go first. Nine to fourteen months ahead for a peak week, six to nine for June and late September, three to four for May and October. Booking early buys first choice of yacht and week rather than a discount.

George's insider notes

  • The first ten days of July are the Cyclades' calmest window before the Meltemi settles in; book them for Mykonos and Paros.
  • A Mykonos berth in July is the most expensive line in the APA after fuel; one night there and the rest at anchor is how the captains spend it.
  • The Ionian in July is the quiet alternative at the same rate: Corfu, Paxos, Antipaxos, Lefkada, Fiskardo, with a breeze instead of a wind.
  • Ask for the crew list; in July the chef and the chief stewardess are working fourteen-hour days and the good ones make it invisible.

Frequently asked

How much is a superyacht charter in Greece in July?

EUR 59,900 to 150,000 a week base for the 35 to 40 metre yachts and EUR 162,500 to 235,000 above 50 metres on the current rate cards, about EUR 82,000 to 357,000 all in with the APA at 30 to 40 percent on a motor yacht and VAT from 5.2 percent, before a gratuity of 10 to 15 percent of the base.

How far ahead must a July superyacht charter be booked?

Nine to fourteen months for the five and six cabin yachts; July 2027 is being contracted in the autumn and winter of 2026.

Is July too windy for the Cyclades?

The Meltemi builds from mid-July; the first half of the month is the calmer window, and a stabilised 40 metre yacht handles the rest. The Ionian and the Saronic are sheltered all month.

What is the sea temperature in July?

24 to 26 degrees Celsius across the Aegean and the Ionian, warm enough to swim at any hour.

Is July more expensive than August?

On most rate cards July and August are the same peak rate; June and September run 15 to 25 percent below on most cards.

How do I see which superyachts are open in July 2027?

WhatsApp +1 786 798 8798 or george@georgeyachts.com with the week and the party; two or three real yachts with confirmed July calendars and the all-in week come back within twenty-four hours.
