Crewed Motor Yacht Charter in the Greek Islands
The Cyclades at 20 knots, the Ionian in a breeze, the Saronic in an afternoon: what a fully crewed motor yacht week in the islands costs and where it goes.

Which islands, on a motor yacht, and why
Best suited for
- Parties who want five islands in a week, not two
- Families who want the Ionian's calm water and short legs
- First charters in the Saronic, two hours from Athens
- Americans comparing a Greek islands week against the Caribbean at the same length
When the island weeks go for 2027
The Cyclades weeks in July and August on the five-cabin motor yachts are contracted first; the Ionian and the Saronic hold longer and June and September run 15 to 25 percent below peak on most cards. Peak weeks for July and August 2027 are being contracted now, in the autumn of 2026; the five and six cabin yachts go first. Nine to fourteen months ahead for a peak week, six to nine for June and late September, three to four for May and October. Booking early buys first choice of yacht and week rather than a discount.
George's insider notes
- Tell the broker the islands before the yacht; the APA estimate for a Cyclades loop and a Saronic loop on the same yacht can differ by EUR 10,000.
- In the Cyclades, one night in Mykonos and six at anchor is how the money goes furthest; the August berth is the dearest line after fuel.
- In the Ionian, board in Lefkada for Meganisi and Ithaca, in Corfu for Paxos and Antipaxos; both are weekly, any day.
- Twelve guests is the legal limit on any charter yacht in Greece; the 30 metre yachts with six cabins carry it in comfort.
Frequently asked
Questions we get about Crewed Motor Yacht Charter in the Greek Islands
How much is a crewed motor yacht charter in the Greek islands?
From about EUR 24,000 a week all in at 20 metres, EUR 50,000 at 27 metres with a chef, from about EUR 67,000 at 33 metres and about EUR 82,000 at 37 metres, from the current rate cards, with the APA at 30 to 40 percent on a motor yacht and VAT from 5.2 percent.
Which islands can a motor yacht reach in a week?
From Athens: Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Milos, Santorini and Ios in the Cyclades, or Hydra, Spetses and Poros in the Saronic. From Corfu or Lefkada: Paxos, Antipaxos, Meganisi, Ithaca and Kefalonia in the Ionian.
Does the island group change the price?
The base fee attaches to the yacht, not the route. The route changes the APA, higher for a Cyclades loop and lower for the Saronic, and a repositioning leg to a boarding port away from the yacht's base is quoted on its own line.
Is the Meltemi a problem on a motor yacht?
It shapes the Cyclades week in July and August rather than stops it; a stabilised 30 metre yacht crosses in comfort and the captain keeps the islands in the lee. The Ionian and the Saronic have no Meltemi.
How many guests can come?
Up to twelve by law; the 22 to 25 metre motor yachts carry six to ten, the 27 metre yachts and above ten to twelve.
How do I get a quote for an islands week?
WhatsApp +1 786 798 8798 or george@georgeyachts.com with the month, the party and the islands you have in mind; two or three real motor yachts with their rate cards and the all-in week come back within twenty-four hours.
