Greek Yacht Charter Demand for 2027: What One Broker's Desk Is Being Asked

Seventy-seven charter requests logged between 30 May and 16 September 2026, counted, not modelled. The season they ask for, how far ahead, for how many, and for how much.

Why this desk publishes its own request log

Every forecast of the Greek charter market this house has read is either a model or a press release. This page is neither. It is the request log of one working broker, seventy-seven enquiries between 30 May and 16 September 2026, each with the season asked for, the dates, the party and, where the client stated it, the budget. It is a small sample from one desk, and it is published because it is the only kind of number a reader can check against the same desk next quarter. The 2027 wave is real and it arrived in August. In June, two of thirteen dated requests were for 2027. In July, seven of seventeen. In August, eleven of nineteen. In the first half of September, eleven of fifteen, with two more for 2028. By the first week of September the desk was answering more questions about next summer than about the one still in progress. The lead time is a year. The median 2027 request arrives 354 days before the week it asks for, and half of all 2027 requests sit between 315 and 381 days. That is not a few keen planners: it is the shape of the whole 2027 curve. The 2026 requests logged in the same window had a median lead time of 25 days, which is what a late-season enquiry looks like. September, then June. Of thirty-one requests for 2027, twelve asked for September, nine for June, five for August, four for July and one for May. On this desk the shoulder months are not the consolation; they are the first choice, and the two weeks that carry the Meltemi and the highest rates are asked for least. [What the months are like](/yacht-charter-greece-2027) and [why the shoulder prices 15 to 25 per cent below peak](/greek-charter-index-2026) are on their own pages. Seven nights, six guests, EUR 30,000 to 60,000. Thirty-six of fifty-nine dated requests asked for exactly seven nights. The median party is six; twenty-five requests were for four to six guests and twenty-four for eight to twelve. Of the forty-four requests that stated a budget, twenty put the top of their range between EUR 30,000 and 60,000, twelve between 20,000 and 30,000, six between 60,000 and 100,000, five below 20,000 and one above 100,000. Almost all of it, seventy-three of seventy-seven, came straight from the client rather than through an agent. What confirmed. Four weeks for 2027 were confirmed between 14 July and 2 September 2026: two for June 2027 and two for September 2027, all from Athens, for parties of four to eight, with budgets from EUR 25,000 to 100,000 all-in, confirmed between 276 and 417 days ahead. One further week confirmed for October 2026. Five confirmed of seventy-seven is the honest conversion of a desk that says no to the wrong boat; it is published here because a page about demand that hides its own numbers is a brochure.

What this means for a 2027 booking

If your week is in late July or August 2027, the yachts with five and six cabins and the most requested motor yachts commit first, and on this desk the 2027 requests already sit a year ahead. Decide through the autumn and winter of 2026. If your week is in June or September, the two months this desk is asked for most, the same applies to the best boats, though the calendar is wider. May and October book three to six months out. Notes from George

  • A request a year ahead is not early on this desk any more; it is the median. Book the yacht before the dates and move the dates a week if she is taken.
  • September is the month my clients ask for most for 2027, and it is the month the sea is warmest. It is also the month the fewest owners discount, because they no longer need to.
  • Seven nights is the week. The requests that asked for four or five nights were answered with the five-night Saronic programme from Athens or with an honest no.
  • State the budget all-in when you write. Forty-four of seventy-seven did, and every one of them got a shortlist that fitted rather than a brochure.
  • This is one desk's log, and it will be refreshed quarterly. Read it as a shape, not a forecast for Greece.

Frequently asked

Questions we get about Greek Yacht Charter Demand for 2027: What One Broker's Desk Is Being Asked

How far in advance are people booking yacht charters in Greece for 2027?

On this desk's log, the median request for a 2027 week arrives 354 days before the week itself, and half of all 2027 requests sit between 315 and 381 days ahead. The four 2027 weeks confirmed by mid-September 2026 were confirmed 276 to 417 days ahead. For comparison, requests for the current season in the same window arrived a median 25 days before the week.

Which month of 2027 is most requested for a Greek yacht charter?

September, with twelve of thirty-one dated 2027 requests, followed by June with nine, August five, July four and May one. On this desk the shoulder months lead, which is also where the rate cards sit 15 to 25 per cent below peak.

How long are people chartering for, and for how many guests?

Seven nights: thirty-six of fifty-nine dated requests asked for exactly a week. The median party is six guests; twenty-five requests were for four to six guests and twenty-four for eight to twelve, with a handful larger, which the twelve-guest rule then shapes.

What budgets are people quoting for a Greek yacht charter in 2027?

Of forty-four requests that stated a budget, twenty placed the top of their range between EUR 30,000 and 60,000 all-in, twelve between EUR 20,000 and 30,000, six between EUR 60,000 and 100,000, five below EUR 20,000 and one above EUR 100,000. The four confirmed 2027 weeks ran from EUR 25,000 to 100,000 all-in.

Is this data for the whole Greek market?

No. It is the request log of one Athens brokerage, seventy-seven enquiries in fifteen weeks, published because it is original and checkable rather than because it is large. It says what one desk that writes only fully crewed weeks is being asked; it does not say what Greece is being asked. It is refreshed as the log grows.

Where do the rate figures on this page come from?

From the Greek Charter Index 2026, which compiles the current rate cards of the ninety-six fully crewed yachts this house quotes from, per yacht per week before VAT and APA. The demand figures come from the request log; the two are kept apart on purpose.
