Net base per yacht per week from the Greek Charter Index 2026, recounted 14 September from the rate cards of the yachts this house represents, and the same week all-in at the low and high of each band with APA of 25 per cent on sailing catamarans and 30 on power catamarans and motor yachts, VAT at 12 per cent and a 12 per cent gratuity, rounded to the hundred. A yacht certified at 5.2 or 6.5 per cent lands lower.

When to book a private yacht in Greece
For late July and August, six to twelve months ahead, and a year or more for the largest yachts and the five and six cabin boats, which run out first. May, June, late September and October price 15 to 25 per cent below peak on the same yacht and book three to six months out. Notes from George
- Match the guest count on the card to your party with one cabin to spare. Six on a four-cabin yacht is a private week; eight on a four-cabin yacht is a full one.
- Buy the crew before the length. A three-crew 18 metre catamaran with a chef and a stewardess is a different week from a two-crew 22 metre with a cook-hostess at the same money.
- Ask for the four lines in writing, base, APA, VAT at the certified rate, gratuity range, before you compare two yachts. The VAT line alone can be worth more than the gap between two base fees.
- A private yacht anchors where a hotel cannot go. Ask the captain for nights in bays with no road to them; that decision changes the character of the week more than the yacht does.
- If the whole yacht is more than you need, the answer is a smaller yacht, not a shared one. This house does not sell cabins.

How much is a private yacht in Greece for a week?
From EUR 17,000 base for a 15 metre crewed sailing catamaran with a captain and a cook-hostess, about EUR 24,000 to 27,000 all-in, and EUR 17,500 base for an 18 to 21 metre motor yacht. From EUR 30,000 all-in the choice widens to 22 metre motor yachts such as SEA U and 16 metre power catamarans such as Explorion with a chef aboard; from EUR 65,000 all-in to 27 metre motor yachts and 21 metre power catamarans with four crew; above EUR 100,000 all-in to motor yachts of 33 metres and more with six or more crew.
Which Greek islands can a private yacht charter reach in a week?
From Athens, the Cyclades in seven nights: Kythnos, Sifnos, Milos, Paros and Mykonos on a motor yacht or a power catamaran, a shorter southern or western loop on a sailing catamaran. The Saronic, Aegina, Poros, Hydra and Spetses, in five to seven nights from Alimos, with Hydra 35 nautical miles away. The Ionian, Paxos, Antipaxos, Lefkada, Meganisi, Ithaca and Kefalonia, boarding at Corfu or Lefkada. This house writes those three grounds and none outside them.
Is a private yacht charter in the Greek islands good for island hopping?
It is the way to do it. A private yacht moves while you swim and sleeps in a different bay every night, so island hopping in Greece by yacht means six or seven islands in a week without packing a bag. The miles set the APA: a fast Cyclades loop on a motor yacht sits at the top of the 30 to 40 per cent band, a sailing catamaran in the Ionian at the bottom of 20 to 30. Can a couple charter a private yacht in Greece, or is it only for groups?
A couple can, and the fee is the same as for six. The smallest private yachts on this list with a proper crew are the six-guest motor yachts SEA U and SEA YA at EUR 21,000 to 28,000 base, and Just Marie 2, a 24 metre Lagoon Seventy 8 for six with four crew at EUR 49,000.
