The Yacht in Detail

ELLY II does not exist yet. She is a Fountaine Pajot Power 70 under construction for delivery in 2027, and I would rather open with that than bury it.

What is already fixed is the specification and the price. Ten guests in five cabins, a genuine king in the master at 1.80 by 2.00 metres rather than a large queen, twin Volvo D8 600 horsepower engines giving 16 knots cruising and 20 flat out, a jacuzzi on the foredeck and wet bars both forward and on the flybridge. Solar panels and lithium banks for silent nights, and water made aboard, still and sparkling.

The 70 sits in a gap in the Greek fleet. Below her the Power 67 is everywhere and above her the Thira 80 is a considerably bigger budget. A 72 foot power catamaran taking ten guests at 69,000 euro in high season is a specific answer to a specific brief.

New builds book their first season long before they are launched, and the good weeks go first. If 2027 is your year, this is the boat to hold early rather than the one to think about in the spring.

The boat

ELLY II is a Fountaine Pajot Power 70, 2027 (new build, not yet delivered), measuring 21,99 m / 72 ft. She takes 10 guests in 5 cabins with 4 - Captain, Chef, Stewardess, Deckhand aboard, and she works out of Athens.

She cruises at 16 knots and tops out at 20 knots. That number matters more than it looks on a charter: it decides whether a Cycladic hop is an hour of the morning or half the day, and it decides how much of your APA goes into the fuel tank rather than into dinner.

Accommodation

One master cabin with a king bed, 1.80 by 2.00 metres, and four guest cabins with queen beds. All five have private facilities.

The crew

Crew to be announced by the owner before the 2027 season. Four crew for this many guests is a comfortable ratio: someone is always free for the tender, the galley never stops, and the cabins are turned down while you are ashore.

What a week costs

The base fee is €69,000 in high season, july and august, €64,000 in mid season, june and september, €59,000 in low season, october to may. Those are the yacht only. On top of them sit Greek VAT at 6.5%, which is this yacht's certified rate rather than a national flat rate, and an Advance Provisioning Allowance of 25% per cent of the base.

The APA is not a fee. It is your money, held by the captain and spent against receipts on fuel, food, drink, berths and anything else the week actually consumes. Whatever is left comes back to you at disembarkation. The MYBA contract we write on fixes how that account works; it does not fix the percentage, which is why you will see 20 to 40 per cent across our fleet depending on how thirsty the boat is.

Crew gratuity is customary rather than contractual, and the MYBA guideline is 10 to 15 per cent of the base fee, calculated on the base and never on the total. Nobody will ask you for it and you decide at the end of the week.

On deck and in the water

She carries 10 categories of water toy, listed in full further down this page. The ones that change a week rather than decorate a brochure: highfield 4.60 sport tender with 70 hp outboard, 2 x seabob, efoil. Everything is checked and working at handover, and anything that needs a licence is flagged before you board rather than after.

What the fee includes, and what it does not

The charter fee covers the yacht with all her equipment in working order, the tender and the water toys, the crew's wages, food and uniform, the yacht's insurance, laundry of the ship's linen, and the cleaning and consumable stores. That is the MYBA standard and it is what you are actually buying.

It does not cover fuel for the engines, generators or toys, your food and drink, berthing and harbour dues, water and electricity taken from shore, agents' fees, personal laundry, or shore transport. All of that runs through the APA against receipts. If the yacht is chartered from a port other than her home base there is a relocation charge, and for Santorini specifically the central agent adds one day because of the logistics there.

Who she suits

Charterers planning 2027 who want the first season of a new hull, parties of ten, and anyone who wants a king bed rather than a large queen.

She is a Fountaine Pajot Power 70 delivering for the 2027 season, and the images on this page are the builder's renderings rather than photographs, because no photographs exist. I am telling you that plainly rather than letting you find out at the dock. What is real: the specification is fixed, the rates are contracted, and the best weeks of a new boat's first season go long before she is in the water. If 2027 is your year, this is the one to hold early.

A week aboard

The itinerary below is a real working route of 178 NM, not a brochure loop. It moves with the prevailing wind and it can be reversed, shortened or thrown away entirely: the captain decides each morning on the actual forecast, and that is the point of a crewed week.
