George's Inside Info
“Ti AmO is the boat I put in front of people who tell me they want to see a lot and hate sitting still. On a sailing catamaran the Cyclades in July can mean a beat you did not sign up for. On her, the same route is a morning. Her crew of three won the Designer Water category at the EMMYS in 2024, which in plain language means the small things aboard are done with care. Ask them about the anchorages on the eastern side of Kea and Kythnos, which almost nobody uses and which she can reach comfortably from Athens on day one.”

The Yacht in Detail
Ti AmO, and the case for power under a catamaran
Most people arrive at a catamaran wanting to sail and leave wanting to have arrived. Ti AmO is the answer to the second half of that sentence. She is an Aquila 54, a power catamaran built in 2022, and she does in three hours what a sailing catamaran does in five.
That sounds like a small thing until you plan a week around it. Three hours means you leave after breakfast and swim before lunch. Five hours means the day is the passage. Over seven days the difference is two or three extra islands, which is usually the difference between the week people describe afterwards and the week they merely enjoyed.
The awards, and what they actually tell you
Ti AmO was named best multihull of the year in 2021, and in 2024 her crew took first place in the Emerald Category of the CYBA Designer Water Competition at the EMMYS. The first is about the boat. The second is about the people on her, and it is the one I pay attention to, because a design award is won once and a crew award is won by how they work every week of the season.
How she lives
Eight guests in four double cabins, each with its own bathroom, and a crew of three who keep out of the way until the moment you want them. The flybridge is where the day happens between swims. At anchor she is flat, which matters to anyone who has spent a night on a monohull listening to the rig.
She is not a superyacht and does not pretend to be. What she is, for two or three couples or a family of eight, is a week with very little friction in it.
