The Yacht in Detail
M/Y XIPHIAS takes her name from the Greek for swordfish. She is a 33.2 metre wooden motor yacht built by Chantier de l'Estérel in 1974 and given a meticulous refit completed in 2025 under the designer Apostolos Molindris, which has kept her character rather than sanding it off.
Eight Guests, Seven Crew
Four cabins take eight guests, and there are seven crew to look after them. That ratio, close to one crew member per guest, is the highest in this fleet and it is what a restored classic should offer: service as the point, not the overhead.

Sifnos cooks better than anywhere else this size in the Aegean, and it has been doing it for a century. Reckon on two and a half hours from the last berth.

Sifnos (Vathi)→Milos (Adamas)
An hour and a quarter at her cruising speed. Sarakiniko looks like nowhere else in Greece, and it is a fifteen minute tender from the anchorage.

Milos (Adamas)→Kythnos (Kolona)
Kythnos keeps its own hours and the anchorage at Kolona is the reason people come back. Three hours on passage at 15 knots.

Kythnos (Kolona)→Cape Sounion
Ninety minutes under way. The Temple of Poseidon stands on the headland above the anchorage, and it has been the last sight of Attica since 440 BC.
