The Samana 59 is a catamaran drawn for sharing, and ALMA, launched in 2022, is laid out exactly that way: five cabins, five bathrooms, and a galley that opens straight onto the saloon, so the kitchen is part of the room rather than hidden below it.
The master is the generous one, and the four doubles are close enough to one another that nobody in a group of five couples draws the short straw.
What she gives ten guests
Every cabin is air-conditioned and en suite, with a screen in each. The flybridge is ample, covered by a hardtop bimini, and the aft deck ends in a swim platform with a deck shower. Her crew of three, a captain, a chef and a hostess, live in separate quarters.
For the water there is a 4.2 metre tender with a 50 horsepower outboard, a Seabob, two sea scooters, two kayaks, paddleboards, and fishing and snorkelling gear.
Where she belongs
The western Cyclades. At nine knots on thirty litres an hour she makes Kythnos, Sifnos, Paros and Serifos in comfortable legs from Athens, and she is at her best in the quieter anchorages of Sifnos and Serifos, which reward a boat that is happy to stay put for the afternoon.

Kythnos keeps its own hours and the anchorage at Kolona is the reason people come back. Reckon on two and a half hours from the last berth.

Kythnos (Kolona)→Sifnos (Vathi)
Three and a half hours at her cruising speed. Sifnos cooks better than anywhere else this size in the Aegean, and it has been doing it for a century.

Sifnos (Vathi)→Paros (Naoussa)
The marble here built half of classical Athens, and the quarries are still open to walk into. Three and a half hours on passage at 9 knots.
- Day 5· 35 NM
Paros (Naoussa)→Serifos (Livadi)
Four hours under way. Serifos has been mined since antiquity and the workings are still there, rusting into the hillside.

Serifos (Livadi)→Kea (Vourkari)
Vourkari's quay takes a stern line and the tavernas are a hundred metres from it. Reckon on three and a half hours from the last berth.

Kea (Vourkari)→Athens (Alimos)
Three and a half hours at her cruising speed. Home to Alimos with the day still in front of you, bags packed at leisure in the morning.
