The Yacht in Detail
STEPHANIE is the newest sailing catamaran of her size in our fleet, delivered in 2024, and the reason I put her forward is not the year on the hull. It is the batteries.
On most crewed catamarans the air conditioning runs off a generator, and on a catamaran the guest cabins sit down inside the hulls, which is exactly where a generator is loudest. Guests come back and say the boat was beautiful and they did not sleep. STEPHANIE carries lithium banks and solar, and the air conditioning runs through the night without the generator turning at all. It is the single most requested thing on a Greek August charter and very few boats at this size actually deliver it.
She also carries Starlink, which I mention without enthusiasm and with complete honesty: some charters have one person aboard who genuinely cannot disconnect, and a boat with proper connectivity is the difference between that person being present and that person being anxious for a week.
Four crew for eight guests is a generous ratio at this size. Giannis has the boat, Artemis has the galley, and there is a stewardess and a deckhand besides, which means the tender is always available and nobody is waiting.

She cruises at 9.5 knots. That number matters more than it looks on a charter: it decides whether a Cycladic hop is an hour of the morning or half the day, and it decides how much of your APA goes into the fuel tank rather than into dinner.
Accommodation
One master cabin and three double cabins, four heads and four showers, all with private facilities.
The crew
Captain Giannis Gargalos, Chef Artemis Liaskou, Stewardess Dimitra Karousou, Deckhand Dimitris Siotas. Four crew for this many guests is a comfortable ratio: someone is always free for the tender, the galley never stops, and the cabins are turned down while you are ashore.
What a week costs
The base fee is €43,500 in high season, july and august, €41,000 in mid season, june and september, €33,500 in low season, october to may. Those are the yacht only. On top of them sit Greek VAT at 6.5%, which is this yacht's certified rate rather than a national flat rate, and an Advance Provisioning Allowance of 20% per cent of the base.
The APA is not a fee. It is your money, held by the captain and spent against receipts on fuel, food, drink, berths and anything else the week actually consumes. Whatever is left comes back to you at disembarkation. The MYBA contract we write on fixes how that account works; it does not fix the percentage, which is why you will see 20 to 40 per cent across our fleet depending on how thirsty the boat is.
Crew gratuity is customary rather than contractual, and the MYBA guideline is 10 to 15 per cent of the base fee, calculated on the base and never on the total. Nobody will ask you for it and you decide at the end of the week.
On deck and in the water

Everything is checked and working at handover, and anything that needs a licence is flagged before you board rather than after.
What the fee includes, and what it does not
The charter fee covers the yacht with all her equipment in working order, the tender and the water toys, the crew's wages, food and uniform, the yacht's insurance, laundry of the ship's linen, and the cleaning and consumable stores. That is the MYBA standard and it is what you are actually buying.
It does not cover fuel for the engines, generators or toys, your food and drink, berthing and harbour dues, water and electricity taken from shore, agents' fees, personal laundry, or shore transport. All of that runs through the APA against receipts. If the yacht is chartered from a port other than her home base there is a relocation charge, and for Santorini specifically the central agent adds one day because of the logistics there.
