Crewed Yacht Charter in Greece for Four Couples: What the Money Buys at Every Budget, from EUR 22,000 to 175,000 All In, 2027

The short way

Three yachts for your dates

The month, the party and an address. A written note with three real yachts, their rate cards and the all-in week reaches you within twenty-four hours. Nothing is booked and nothing is owed.

Four couples, eight people who already know each other, one week, and a sensible question: what do we actually get for our money? I answer it every week by email, usually in the form of three yachts with their rate cards. This is the written version, with seven yachts from the list instead of three, so that whatever the budget, you can see the week it buys and what the next step up changes.

Every rate below is the yacht's own card as published on the Greek Charter Index, per yacht per week, and every all-in figure is built the way I build it for a client: the base fee, plus the APA for fuel, food, drink and berths, plus Greek VAT at the yacht's certified rate. The crew gratuity sits outside that total, at your discretion. Every figure is for the whole yacht, whoever boards, because that is the only way a crewed yacht is ever priced.

What does a crewed yacht charter in Greece cost for four couples?

Between about EUR 22,000 and EUR 175,000 all in for the week, depending on the yacht. The floor is a 15 metre sailing catamaran with her crew at EUR 17,000 base, about EUR 22,000 all in. The top of this fan is a 39 metre motor yacht with eight crew at EUR 98,000 to 115,000 base, about EUR 132,000 to 175,000 all in. In dollars, at about USD 1.12 to the euro in mid October 2026, that is roughly USD 25,000 at the floor and USD 195,000 at the top.

Eight guests is the sweet spot of the Greek crewed market. Four en-suite double cabins is the most common layout from 15 to 40 metres, so four couples have more real choice than any other party size, and the price ladder between the cheapest and the most expensive week is almost eight to one. The yacht changes everything; the destination changes almost nothing, because the rate attaches to the hull, not to the sea.

How do I read a rate card: base, APA, VAT, gratuity?

Four lines, always in this order. The base fee is the yacht and her crew for the week. The APA, the Advance Provisioning Allowance, is a float paid before boarding and accounted for at the end: 25 to 35 percent of the base on a catamaran, 30 to 40 percent on a motor yacht, because fuel is what moves it. Greek VAT is charged on the charter fee at the yacht's certified rate, 5.2, 6.5, 7.8 or 12 percent on the current cards. The crew gratuity is customary at 10 to 15 percent of the base, paid in cash at the end, and never inside the all-in figure.

So a catamaran at EUR 31,500 base with a 30 percent APA and 6.5 percent VAT is EUR 31,500 plus 9,450 plus 2,050, about EUR 43,000 all in, and a gratuity of EUR 3,000 to 4,700 on top if the crew earned it. That is the arithmetic for every yacht below.

Around EUR 22,000 all in: a new Lagoon 51 with two crew

EFFIE STAR is a Lagoon 51 launched in 2025, four en-suite doubles plus a fifth French double that shares a bathroom, and a crew of two, captain and cook-hostess. Base EUR 17,000 to 22,000 a week, about EUR 22,000 to 32,000 all in, roughly USD 25,000 to 36,000.

For four couples she is roomy; the fifth cabin stays empty or takes two children. With two crew the week feels personal rather than staffed, and at eight knots she belongs in the Saronic, where Aegina is 18 nautical miles from Alimos and Hydra 35, and no leg is longer than three hours. If you want three crew at the same price, her sister BABALU, a 2024 Lagoon 51 with four doubles, adds a hostess so that the cook only cooks.

Around EUR 30,000 all in: a power catamaran that covers two island groups

EXPLORION is an Aquila 54 power catamaran from 2023, four en-suite cabins for eight, three crew including a chef with 22 years in Greek and Spanish kitchens. Base EUR 21,000 to 28,000, about EUR 27,000 to 41,000 all in, roughly USD 31,000 to 46,000.

The difference from the sailing catamaran is 16 knots instead of 8. That is the difference between a Saronic week and a week that reaches the western Cyclades, Kythnos, Serifos and Sifnos, and comes back without a long day. She burns about 30 litres an hour at eight knots, which keeps the APA at the low end of the motor range. Four couples who want to see more islands than they swim off, without paying motor-yacht fuel, start here.

Around EUR 45,000 all in: an award-winning sailing catamaran of 20 metres

KIMATA is a Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67 from 2021 with a full teak deck, four en-suite staterooms for eight, three crew, and a chef trained at Le Monde in Athens with twelve years in professional kitchens. Her crew took third place, Diamond tier, in the CYBA Designer Water competition at the 2024 East Med Multihull and Yacht Charter Show in Poros, one of the two official Greek charter shows. Base EUR 31,500 to 42,500, about EUR 41,000 to 62,000 all in, roughly USD 46,000 to 70,000.

This is the yacht where the week stops being about the boat and starts being about the table. A 10.5 metre beam gives four couples the volume of a much larger yacht, the foredeck has a jacuzzi, and the flybridge is a terrace over the sea. At eight knots she is a Cyclades yacht in June or September and a Saronic or Ionian yacht in high summer. The full class is written up in the luxury catamaran guide.

Around EUR 65,000 all in: a Pershing 90 that cruises at 33 knots

ONE is a Pershing 90 Sport, 27 metres, refitted in 2024 by Fulvio De Simoni, four staterooms, four crew. Base EUR 45,000 to 49,000, about EUR 61,000 to 75,000 all in, roughly USD 68,000 to 83,000.

She is the fastest yacht on the list, 33 knots at cruise, which means Athens to Mykonos in under three hours and a week that can hold Mykonos, Paros, Milos and Hydra without a single long passage. Two of the four cabins are twins with bunks, so she is at her best with four couples when two of those couples are happy in twins, or with three couples and children. The APA is where speed shows: at 33 knots a motor yacht of this class spends the top of the 30 to 40 percent range, and I say so before the contract rather than after.

Around EUR 80,000 all in: the only Sunreef 70 Power for charter in the Mediterranean

ALTEYA is a Sunreef 70 Power, 21.3 metres, four en-suite staterooms for eight, four crew including a chef and a stewardess, and a jet ski. Base EUR 49,000 to 69,000, about EUR 64,000 to 101,000 all in, roughly USD 72,000 to 114,000.

Sunreef builds to order, and it shows in every surface. She is the choice for four couples who want contemporary design, a stewardess as well as a chef, and 14 knots of comfortable speed on two hulls that do not roll at anchor. If the party is three couples and two teenagers, the jet ski is the week. For a 24 metre version of the same idea with five cabins and a toy garage, ChristAl MiO 80, the new Fountaine Pajot Thira 80, runs at EUR 70,000 to 90,000 base and takes twelve.

Around EUR 80,000 all in on a 31 metre motor yacht: six cabins, seven crew

SUMMER FUN is an Admiral 101, 30.8 metres, fully refitted in 2026, six staterooms for twelve, seven crew, stabilisers at anchor and under way. Base EUR 45,000 to 65,000, about EUR 61,000 to 99,000 all in, roughly USD 68,000 to 111,000.

She sits beside ALTEYA on the ladder and answers a different question. ALTEYA is design and intimacy for eight; SUMMER FUN is a proper motor yacht with the scale of a crew of seven, a playroom that converts to a VIP cabin, and room for four couples to bring their children or their parents without anyone sharing. American families rebook her year after year, and the stabilisers are why the grandparents come.

Around EUR 150,000 all in: a 39 metre Maiora with eight crew

PAREAKI II is a Maiora 126, 39 metres, refitted in 2023, five staterooms for twelve including a full-beam master, eight crew led by a captain who is also a diving instructor, a flybridge jacuzzi, stabilisers at anchor and under way. Base EUR 98,000 to 115,000, about EUR 132,000 to 175,000 all in, roughly USD 148,000 to 196,000.

At this level four couples are not buying space, they have had that since EUR 45,000. They are buying a crew of eight for eight guests, a chef whose signature salad guests write to me about, and the ability to hold a Cyclades programme in July whatever the Meltemi does. For the yachts above 50 metres and EUR 235,000 base, the superyacht page carries the list.

What does the step up actually buy at each level?

From EUR 22,000 to 30,000, speed: two island groups instead of one. From 30,000 to 45,000, a chef and a third crew member, and the week becomes about the food. From 45,000 to 65,000, either 33 knots or a stewardess, depending on which yacht you choose. From 65,000 to 80,000, a motor yacht's crew of seven and six cabins, so the party can grow. From 80,000 to 150,000, eight crew for eight guests and the stabilised, unhurried week of a true superyacht. The marina, the islands and the sea are the same at every rung; what changes is how many people are looking after you and how far you can go in a day.

Does the destination change the price?

No. A yacht's base rate is the same whether she sails the Saronic, the Cyclades or the Ionian, because the card attaches to the yacht. What the destination changes is the APA: a Cyclades week on a motor yacht burns more fuel and pays more marina berths than a Saronic week at anchor, so the float is spent harder. It also changes which yacht is right. In July and August a sailing catamaran is happiest in the Saronic or the Ionian; the Cyclades in the Meltemi belong to the motor yachts and the power catamarans. The Saronic week is the one I propose first to four couples who have never chartered.

How far ahead should four couples book for 2027?

Nine to fourteen months for July and August, six to nine for June and September, and three to four for May and October. Eight guests on four cabins is the most requested shape in Greece, so the best yachts at every rung above go first. The contract is the MYBA form, half the base on signature, the balance with APA and VAT forty five days before boarding. Weeks start on any day, not only Saturday.

When is this list the wrong answer?

If the party is twelve, the twelve-guest page is the right list, because Greek charter yachts carry at most twelve guests. If the budget is fixed at USD 100,000 all in for three or four couples on a motor yacht, I have written that exact answer with the yachts that fit it. If you want a yacht without crew, this house does not place that week. And if the number you have in mind is below EUR 22,000 all in, there is no crewed week on this list for it, and I would rather say so than send you a boat I would not board myself.

Four couples, one week, seven yachts. Tell me your dates and the budget you are comfortable saying out loud, and I will answer with the three that fit it, their rate cards and the all-in week, within twenty four hours.

Frequently Asked

Frequently asked questions

How much does a crewed yacht charter in Greece cost for four couples?

From about EUR 22,000 all in for a week on a new 15 metre sailing catamaran with two crew, to about EUR 175,000 all in on a 39 metre motor yacht with eight crew. All in means the base fee plus the APA for fuel, food, drink and berths plus Greek VAT at the yacht's certified rate; the crew gratuity of 10 to 15 percent of the base is separate and at your discretion. Every figure is for the whole yacht for the week, never a rate by the head.

What is the cheapest crewed yacht for 8 guests in Greece?

On this list, a 2024 or 2025 Lagoon 51 sailing catamaran with her crew at EUR 17,000 a week base, about EUR 22,000 all in: four en-suite double cabins, a captain and a cook-hostess, eight knots, at her best in the Saronic Gulf out of Athens. Nothing crewed on the list sits below that figure, and if a budget does, I say so rather than propose a yacht I would not board.

How is the all-in cost of a Greek yacht charter calculated?

Base fee plus APA plus VAT. The APA, the Advance Provisioning Allowance, is a float of 25 to 35 percent of the base on a catamaran and 30 to 40 percent on a motor yacht, accounted for at the end of the week. Greek VAT is charged on the charter fee at the yacht's certified rate, 5.2, 6.5, 7.8 or 12 percent. A catamaran at EUR 31,500 base with a 30 percent APA and 6.5 percent VAT comes to about EUR 43,000 all in. The crew gratuity, customary at 10 to 15 percent of the base, is paid in cash at the end and is not part of that total.

Is a power catamaran or a motor yacht better for four couples?

A power catamaran gives eight guests two hulls that do not roll at anchor, 14 to 16 knots and a lower fuel bill, from about EUR 27,000 all in on a 16 metre to about EUR 100,000 on a Sunreef 70. A motor yacht gives speed and crew: a Pershing 90 at 33 knots from about EUR 61,000 all in, or a 31 metre with six cabins and seven crew from about the same figure. Choose the catamaran for stability and space per euro, the motor yacht for pace or for a larger crew.

Does the destination change the price of a crewed charter in Greece?

No. A yacht's weekly rate is the same whether she sails the Saronic, the Cyclades or the Ionian, because the rate attaches to the yacht. The destination changes the APA, since a Cyclades week on a motor yacht burns more fuel and pays more marina berths than a Saronic week spent mostly at anchor, and it changes which yacht suits July and August, when the Meltemi favours motor yachts and power catamarans in the Cyclades and sailing catamarans in the Saronic and the Ionian.

How much is a yacht charter in Greece for 8 people in US dollars?

At about USD 1.12 to the euro in mid October 2026, the week runs from roughly USD 25,000 all in on the entry sailing catamaran to about USD 196,000 all in on a 39 metre motor yacht, with a 20 metre award-winning sailing catamaran at about USD 46,000 to 70,000 and a Pershing 90 at about USD 68,000 to 83,000 in between. Contracts are written in euros; the dollar figure moves with the rate on the day you pay.

How far in advance should four couples book a crewed yacht in Greece for 2027?

Nine to fourteen months ahead for July and August, six to nine for June and September, three to four for May and October. Eight guests on four cabins is the most requested shape in the Greek market, so the best yachts at every price go first. The contract is the MYBA form: half the base on signature, the balance with the APA and VAT forty five days before boarding, and the week can start on any day of the week.

What is included in a fully crewed yacht charter in Greece?

The yacht and her crew for the week, their wages and the yacht's insurance, inside the base fee. Fuel, food, drink, marina berths and port fees come out of the APA at cost, accounted for line by line at the end. VAT is added at the yacht's certified rate. Not included: the crew gratuity, flights, hotels ashore and anything you arrange yourself on land. A chef is standard from about EUR 30,000 all in upward on this list, and a stewardess from about EUR 65,000.
